פרופ. ראובן ברגמן

Professor Reuven Bergman is Director of the Department of Dermatology at Rambam Health Care Campus, and a Professor at the Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. His main sub-specialty is dermatopathology

Prof. Bergman was trained as a fellow by the late Professor Bernard Ackerman at New York University in 1986-87. He also spent sabbaticals at the Mayo Clinic on pathology of cutaneous lymphomas, at the University of Sydney, Australia, on early detection of melanoma, and at St. John's Institute for Diseases of the Skin, in London, on genetic skin diseases.
He has authored 260 scientific papers in international journals and currently is a member of the editorial boards of The International Journal of Dermatology, American Journal of Dermatopathology, and JAMA Dermatology

Additionally, he served as President of the Israel Society of Dermatology and Venereology from January 2014  until January 2017, and was previously Chairman of the Israel Examination Boards towards a specialist certificate in dermatology

Prof. Bergman’s current research interests include dermatopathology of genetic skin diseases in relation to molecular genetics, dermatopathology of cutaneous lymphomas and pseudolymphomas and dermatopathology of inflammatory skin diseases. He also has a special clinical interest in early detection of melanoma and autoimmune bullous diseases (pemphigus and pemphigoid).
Professor Bergman has been appointed as an honorary member of the German Society of Dermatology in 2015, and the French Society of Dermatology in 2016
